The artists will be here for the reception and will give lecture & demonstration on the art of Nihonga painting.
Nihonga is a style of painting created in accordance with traditional Japanese artistic conventions, techniques and materials. The term Nihonga was coined in the Meiji period of the Imperial Japan, to distinguish its style from oil paintings.
New works from Nihonga-in will showcase in the George J. Doizaki Gallery at the DownTown Little Tokyo.
