JULY 5 | QUARTETTO FANTASTICO

QUARTETTO FANTASTICO is comprised of four musicians that think and play outside the box, covering a wide range of repertoire in various styles, from Classical to Jazz to Hip-Hop to Modern, including original compositions.

JULY 12 | BUYEPONGO

With deep roots in South and Central America, BUYEPONGO draw heavily from the Latino musical culture. Taking their cues from traditional "roots" music of Colombia, Haiti, Belize, Honduras and the Dominican Republic, Buyepongo create a very vibrant polyrhythmic sound by seamlessly fusing merengue, punta, and cumbia.

The sublime sound of ETHIO CALI is inspired by the golden age of Ethiopian music of the 1960’s and 70’s, filtered through a lens that is uniquely Los Angeles. Acknowledging the diverse musical foundations of Ethio-Jazz, the ensemble also draws inspiration from the rhythmic and melodic textures of Sudan, Somalia, Ghana, and Colombia.

As one third of SA-RA Creative Partners, SHAFIQ HUSAYN helped change the world, producing, writing and collaborating with a diverse cast of artists, from Common to Kanye, Jill Scott to J Dilla and Erykah Badu, the aspects of music that SA-RA helped reintroduce to Hip Hop and RnB can be heard today throughout the current musical climate.

The entrance to the garden is conveniently located on San Pedro Street between 2nd and 3rd streets. Look for the narrow walkway between the JACCC Center Building and the adjacent alley.
