Mocky & Friends
Canadian songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Dominic "Mocky" Salole, is known for his work on albums by Feist, Jamie Lidell, Kelela, Vulfpeck, and many more.
As a solo artist he has released 6 albums under his own name and toured extensively in Japan and Europe. In L.A. he created community hosting the "Mocky and friends jam Session" on the rooftop of the Ace Hotel for over 3 years. Mocky is preparing to release a new album entitled Goosebumps Per Minute in October 2022.
Mocky will be joined by his frequent collaborators Nia Andrews, Joey Dosik, Pegasus Warning and others in an exuberant show incorporating improv, electronics, vocal harmonies and musicianship into a group improvisation in a way that only Mocky can. In a nod to the late night Bronzeville jazz history, Mocky will showcase a new composition called "Nite Tribe" dedicated to the family and community that a tight knit musical community creates and needs to thrive.
