JACCC Volunteers

We are indebted to our volunteers who have helped us with many of our community festivals and cultural events over the years. We are continually looking for volunteers who are willing to donate their time and hard work to many of these special events that wouldn't be possible without their support.

What: Cambalache & Special Guests
When: Saturday June 3, 2017;  5 PM - 7 PM
Where: JACCC, Aratani Theatre, 244 S. San Pedro St. Los Angeles, CA 90012
Department: Performing Arts
# or volunteers needed: 2-3

Details: JACCC is looking for 2 - 3 volunteers to do the following:
- Assist at the Will Call table by finding and giving guests their tickets
- Be organized and be able to look up names alphabetically
- Have visual familiarity of names from various ethnic and cultural backgrounds
- Have familiarity with pronouncing names from various ethnic and cultural backgrounds
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Take direction from JACCC staff
Parking: Volunteers will be provided 1 ticket to the show and 1 parking voucher for the Sho Tokyo parking structure located at 350 E. 2nd St Los Angeles, CA 90012

 

What: Miso Made Easy
When: Sunday June 25, 2017. 9 AM - 4 PM
Where:  JACCC, Center Building, Garden Room A, 244 S. San Pedro St. Los Angeles, CA 90012
Department: Culinary Arts
# or volunteers needed: 3-4

Details: JACCC is looking for 3 - 4 volunteers to do the following:
- Assist lead culinary instructor, Yoko Maeda Lamn
- Assist with setup, registration, day-of tasks, and clean up. 
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Take direction from JACCC staff

Gallery Volunteers

The George J. Doizaki Gallery is the site for more than 13 exhibitions per year, from traditional to contemporary arts. JACCC is looking for volunteers to work as gallery monitors and also to help with the set-up of many of our unique exhibits.
